Permanent Video Consultation with the option of using the Remote Observation Solution (OMR) with the TytoCare device
The TytoCare device is a medical device that allows video consultations to be carried out through real-time medical observation by FHVC’s multidisciplinary medical team (General and Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology, among others).
Using the TyroCare device, doctors can examine the heart, lungs, throat, ears, skin, abdomen, heart rate, and body temperature in real time.
Using advanced technology, take the exam recommended by your doctor in real time. At the end, receive a medical report and, if appropriate, exam requests and prescriptions, all from the comfort of your home.*
*In certain cases, this service does not replace the need for a subsequent in-person consultation.

What is a Video Consultation?
A clinical video consultation is a consultation service provided via video by general practitioners and family doctors, as well as doctors from other specialties and other healthcare professionals, in circumstances that do not require a face-to-face examination. During the video consultation, the client can share additional diagnostic tests and receive prescriptions from their doctor.
How to schedule your video consultation?
- You can schedule a video consultation in the following ways:
In your FHVC Customer Area, you can choose the option “24-hour Permanent Service” for Permanent Video Consultation Service or “Schedule Consultation” for Scheduled Consultation Service;
or
- Through Customer Support, simply provide our assistants with the necessary information to schedule your consultation by calling 210 495 836 / 965 928 746 (call to the national landline network / call to the national mobile network) or by email to: apoio.cliente@fh-vc.pt, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How to conduct your video consultation?
After paying for your video consultation, you will receive a confirmation email with some information on how to prepare.

The Permanent Video Consultation Service is recommended for resolving acute non-urgent situations that do not require an in-person examination and/or procedure. The Scheduled Consultation Service video consultation is recommended for non-acute conditions, health promotion follow-ups, disease prevention, chronic disease management and medication, evaluation of complementary diagnostic tests, and clarification of doubts.
Is it possible to treat an emergency situation through a video consultation?
An urgent situation that requires an in-person examination or procedure cannot be treated via video consultation. Video consultations are suitable for assessing acute non-urgent situations, such as flu-like symptoms or minor infections.
In case of emergency, you should always call 112.

Yes, FHVC video consultations are secure. They are provided through a digital platform that guarantees the privacy of shared information and the security of user data, using security tools and protocols.
