What is a Video Consultation?

A video consultation is a consultation service provided via video by general practitioners and family doctors, as well as doctors from other specialities and other healthcare professionals, in circumstances that do not require an in-person examination. During the video consultation, the patient can share additional diagnostic test results and receive prescriptions from their doctor.

How to schedule your video consultation?

You can book a video consultation in the following ways:

In your FHVC Customer Area, you can select the “Priority Video Consultation Service” option or “Book an Appointment” for the Scheduled Video Consultation Service;

or

Through Customer Support, simply provide our assistants with the necessary information to book your consultation by calling 210 495 836 / 965 928 746 (call to the national landline network / call to the national mobile network) or by emailing: apoio.cliente@fh-vc.pt , 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How to conduct your video consultation?

Once you have paid for your video consultation, you will receive a confirmation email containing some information on how to prepare.

Is a video consultation right for me?

If you require any further clarification, please contact Customer Support on 210 495 836 / 965 928 746 (call to the national landline network / call to the national mobile network).

The Priority Video Consultation Service is recommended for resolving non-urgent acute conditions that do not require an in-person examination and/or procedure. The Scheduled Video Consultation Service, on the other hand, is recommended for non-acute conditions, follow-up care in health promotion, disease prevention, the management of chronic conditions and associated medication, the assessment of additional diagnostic tests, and the clarification of queries.

Is it possible to treat an emergency situation through a video consultation?

An urgent situation requiring an in-person examination or procedure cannot be dealt with via a video consultation. Video consultations are suitable for assessing non-urgent acute conditions, such as flu-like symptoms or minor infections.
In an emergency, you should always call 112.

Is video consultation secure?

Yes, the FHVC video consultation is secure. It is provided via a digital platform that ensures the privacy of the information shared and the security of users’ data, using security tools and protocols.
It is very important that you ensure the security of your devices and the internet connection you use.

Is the video consultation private?

At FHVC, video consultations are private and are conducted via a platform that adheres to standardised security rules and protocols to ensure client privacy.

What is the Health Pack?

To personalise your healthcare and well-being, we have developed a new concept: the Health Pack. This gives you access to a range of video consultations, allowing you to choose the specialities that best suit your needs and goals. The Health Pack includes the Thematic Health Pack for care across multiple specialities and the Speciality Health Pack for when you need care from a single speciality.
